Direct answer
Solarpunk does not currently have a detailed public roadmap with dated feature promises. The most important official roadmap-related update is the developer’s June 12 Steam announcement: the team says it wants to share a roadmap, but is currently prioritizing fixes, stability, and issues that directly affect gameplay.
That is enough to justify a roadmap status page, but not enough to publish a speculative feature list. Treat this page as a verified update tracker and expectation-setting page, not a promise of future content.
If you are here because you are deciding whether to buy, treat this page as one part of the decision and compare it with Price, What Is Solarpunk?, Is Solarpunk Worth It?, and the platform pages before drawing conclusions.
Current roadmap status
The current safest summary is:
| Topic | Status | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Detailed roadmap | Not published yet | Wait for an official Cyberwave/rokaplay announcement. |
| Launch-week fixes | Active | Follow Steam announcements first. |
| Console patch timing | Platform verification can lag Steam | Check Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch 2 notes before assuming parity. |
| New major features | Not confirmed | Do not rely on community wishlists as roadmap evidence. |
What the developers have officially said
The June 12 Steam announcement is the strongest current roadmap source. It says the team wants to share a roadmap, but that preparing it properly takes time, and that the immediate focus is fixes, stability, and gameplay-impacting issues.
That same update lists launch-week fixes and improvements around building prompts, backpack problems, Electronics Research Table UI, the merchant map marker, Y-axis inversion, crop plot reload behavior, dough unlock behavior, Airship collision problems, save-state naming, and early crop balancing.
Why there is not a feature promise list here
A roadmap page can easily become misleading if it turns community requests into promises.
For Solarpunk, that matters because official expectation-setting has already said the game is a focused, relaxed survival-crafting sandbox with limited handcrafted islands, no PvP, no raids, no narrative campaign, no public servers, and no full crossplay.
Until the developers publish a new roadmap, this page will not claim:
- new biomes are confirmed
- full crossplay is coming
- dedicated servers are coming
- PvP or combat systems are coming
- a story campaign is coming
- Steam Workshop support is coming
- console patches arrive the same day as Steam patches
Launch-week update themes to watch
The first post-launch update themes are practical rather than expansion-focused:
- stability and bug fixes
- multiplayer inventory/backpack issues
- crop and recipe progression issues
- building prompt clarity
- Airship collision and movement problems
- save compatibility and migration
- console platform verification timing
If you are deciding whether to buy now or wait, those themes matter more than speculative future features.
Platform update timing
Steam updates can appear before console updates because console patches need platform verification. The June 12 update explicitly told Xbox and PlayStation players to wait a little longer and Switch 2 players to be more patient.
That means a bug fixed on PC may not be fixed on your console build yet.
What to check before relying on roadmap claims
Use this checklist:
- Is the claim from Cyberwave, rokaplay, an official storefront, or an official announcement?
- Does it give a date, or only a general intention?
- Does it apply to your platform?
- Is it a launch-week fix or a future feature?
- Has it already passed console verification if you are on console?
