Direct answer
Solarpunk supports online co-op, and the clearest current player-limit wording points to up to four online players.
If you are planning a session today, keep your group to four players or fewer and make sure everyone checks platform compatibility before buying.
Quick player-limit table
| Topic | Answer |
|---|---|
| Online co-op | Supported. |
| Max players | Up to four online players where listed by official platform pages. |
| Host model | One player hosts the session. |
| Dedicated servers | No public dedicated servers are currently expected. |
| Split screen | Not confirmed. |
| Crossplay | Full crossplay is not supported. |
What four-player co-op means in practice
A four-player Solarpunk group should plan around personal responsibilities instead of one shared inventory pile.
The most important co-op expectations are:
- one player hosts the world
- players keep separate inventories
- each player should prepare tools, food, and water for trips
- Airships are personal, so co-op partners may need their own Airship progress
- platform subscriptions may still be required on console ecosystems
Is Solarpunk split screen or couch co-op?
No local split-screen support is currently confirmed. If you searched for “Solarpunk couch co-op” or “Solarpunk local co-op,” the safe answer is to plan for online co-op, not couch play.
Dedicated servers and shared progress
Solarpunk is not positioned as a public-server survival game. Plan around a hosted world where one player starts the session and the others join.
That matters for shared progress because a group should choose the regular host before everyone invests heavily in base building, farming, and Airship progression.
